Yeah you and every other facking Islander fan. Unreal. Was pumped about the idea of watching Strome and Nelson.

The forward line up looks more interesting in Regina, but the defensive line up in Calgary should give us a great look at some prospects. I'm looking forward to watching Donovan, Reinhart, Pulock, and De Hann to see what they bring to the table. I haven't seen any of them play yet.

Let's Go Islanders!

When regular season comes the isles could potentially devastate some teams physically. Just hope Nilsson takes some strides forward along with the young guys on D. Up front I think they'll definitely be able to play with anyone.

Actually, if Grabner gets appropriate playing time, AND shows the fire he had in the playoffs, that top 9 may be one of the best in the league....I guess KO would need to be more consistent too, but I think that's coming

I hope he does too but he's doubtful for our opening night roster. Poulin will probably be backing up Nabby to start. We have a lot of prospect depth D wise. One of my "wants' this offseason would've been a stay at home top four type of player. Unfortunately that didn't happen and just like you stated our backend goaltending included is a little iffy but has the potential to be stable at least if Donovan or even DeHaan can add something to it.

Agreed our offense looks lethal this year, lets just hope goaltending doesn't kill us,

If grabner can play like he did in games 2-6 of the playoffs he won't have to worry about any more dog houses

While I don't expect the team to have the fire they had in the playoffs all 82 games, if they have even a portion of that fire (most of the season) they will be very tough to beat.

Yeah, he was an absolute beast. Plus, KO FINALLY looked like the player promise when drafted. He just needs to simplify. That said, JTs also my preseason pick for Art Ross. I love what he's surrounded by.

all I'm doing this preseason is hoping we don't suffer any serious injuries to any of our players.

I dislike the preseason for the headhunting that can go on in games with young tough guys trying to make an impression and chasing around top NHL players in an effort to get a contract or a shot with the big club.

Interested to see what Bouchard can do on the top line with JT and MM, but a big part of me would rather Strome get a shot there instead.

I like how Reinhart is throwing his weight around
Donovan is playing well and smart
Grabs is flying
Poulin either looks like Roy or like me in net, inconsistent
